Chapter 265: Exposé

Just as Samar expected, the City Guard Scully returned straight to the City Guard Office. He recognized Mochi as his friend but he was still reluctant to confess what had happened between him and Amarina. 

Only after Amarina's influence had faded did the chubby City Guard respond to Mochi's incessant needling and opened up. 

"She was so beautiful!" Scully murmured, infatuation in his eyes, "I fell in love with her at the first sight. I didn't know what I could do to please her…"

The boisterous Guard turned meek and quiet as he remembered what he had done but Mochi could guess what he had done. 

"So you voted for her because she asked you to do so…" 

In an equally quiet voice, the Solangelist completed Scully's sentence and the City Guard nodded with embarrassment.
