"We must be quick before they close the doors," Hazel informed Daisy.

"After the king's threat, they would be fools to try to lock you out again," said Daisy.

Daisy could not forget the memory of the king going to the court after he learned that they were turning the queen away from sitting in to listen to what was being discussed. She was certain that the palace would see blood spilt soon if the men against Hazel being involved in the court continued to try blocking her.

"I don't want Tobias to have to come this time so I want to get there before the doors close. Being late gives them a reason to think that I am taking this lightly. I shall not give them anything to criticise me with," Hazel said, holding up the sides of her dress so she could walk faster.
