"Any word on how the party is going? On whom she invited into the palace?" Tabitha questioned Jane.

Tabitha wasn't expecting an invitation nor was she planning to go as she was enjoying her time alone with Jeffrey and the occasional visits from Sofia. It would be better if Tobias came to see her but she knew not to expect to see him for a while.

"I have heard that the women she invited were a little peculiar. She has daughters of nobles sitting with those who should not be in the same room. I think the most talked about was a young woman with ties to a brothel-"

Tabitha spat her tea out. "That's absurd. That kind of woman should never be in the palace where Sofia roams. You must have heard wrong."
