"He is but…"
"But what? Speak now and speak clearly," She snapped sternly as she swung her head around to face the shadow guard.
Though there was no light in that tunnel, the fiery gaze in Sierra's eyes was unmistakable.
"He's not the one you are searching for," the shadow guard explained.
She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. What did he mean? There was only one King of Drakin, and it had to be Alistair, did it not?
"Is this a trap of sorts? Are you stalling me on purpose?" Sierra seethe in anger as she grabbed the shadow guard's collar.
She knew they were Alistair's personal guards. They were not loyal to her, only to him. Still, would they work against her? Or was there something more to it that she was not seeing? Sierra pinned the shadow guard against the wall. Her patience was running thin.
