Chapter 5: Chapter 5 Hannah
The firefighters kept looking for the others; they bring out six more people, four males, and two females, none of them were the girls. Each one of them is taken to ambulances to be checked over.
"If Sarah was there, the others would have to be." said Mrs. Meadows.
"This cave is very popular. Many people go in there, so they could be anywhere up to 100 people inside" said a firefighter.
"Get on the walkie-talkie and ask for more ambulances, tell them we need as many as possible, and that we have possibly up to 100 people injured or needing some sort of medical attention". One of the firefighters said to the other.
"can you manage here?" The firefighter asked.
"Yes, we've got it," The other firefighter replied.
The firefighter then went to call for more ambulances.
"We don't even know how long they could've been there for, for all we know this could've happened hours ago, and they have been trapped in there for hours,'' said Mrs. Smith, starting to become more concerned about Hannah and the others.
"The firefighters are doing their job, and they're going to find them, don't worry, honey," Mr. Smith told mrs. Smith.
More people are pulled out from the Rubble of the cave one by one, covered in dust and dirt.
"Let's try calling them again now we have cleared some more rubble out of the way." Said A fire fighter.
Mrs. smith rang Hannah's phone. They heard a faint sound not far from where they're looking, and the firefighters quickly rushed over and started looking. Minutes later They find some blond hair smothered in dirt and dust hidden under some rocks.
"We've got someone." a firefighter shouted.
The ambulance crew rushed over and helped the person out and into an ambulance.
It's Hannah. Her parents rushed over. Her lion shirt was stained with dirt and blood and her right arm was twisted at a unnatural angle.
Mrs smith sat down next to Hannah seconds later Hannah woke up.
"Mum," whispered Hannah.
"I'm here, it's fine," Mrs. Smith told Hannah.
"Are the others okay?" Asked Hannah. "We just wanted to have a bit of fun. Everyone was doing it, and we thought we would explore it, I'm sorry" Hannah told mrs smith.
"It's fine, don't worry about it. They have only found Sarah so far, she's gone with her mum to the hospital but I'm sure everyone else will be found soon" Mrs. smith told Hannah.
A paramedic comes over and puts a splint on Hannah's arm, which she hadn't even noticed was badly broken.
"She didn't even notice, why is that?" asked Mrs. smith.
"It's Probably because of the shock from everything that has happened it can override pain and not make you feel much if any" the paramedic explained to mrs smith.
"She's going to need surgery when she gets to the hospital. It's an awful break, Plus they will need to check her over for any internal bleeding as well." Another ambulance worker informed MRS. Smith.
"Okay, I'm coming," said MRS Smith, then strapped herself into the seat next to Hannah.
"I'm sorry, but only one of you can come in the ambulance," said a paramedic.
"That's fine, I'll Drive, I'll meet you there," MR Smith told them as he stepped out of the ambulance and then made his way to his car.
The paramedic closed the doors and set off for the hospital.
"Keep us updated on Megan and Olivia and please let us know when you find out," MR Smith asked the other parents.
"We will," said MRS Denver.
The ambulance quickly arrived at the hospital.
"An 18-year-old female who was involved in a cave accident, she has a severely broken right arm, possible internal bleeding". The paramedic told The nurses who had come to meet them.
"Ok thank you," said a nurse, taking Hannah away and into a room where another nurse starts a quick scan to make sure there is no internal bleeding, the scan comes back clear.
"This is an awful break, and it can easily cause an infection or stop the blood flow to the rest of her arm which could end up causing her to need A amputation down the line, so we need to get her into surgery to fix it as quickly as possible." The nurse told Mrs. smith as they prepared to rush Hannah down to surgery.
"It's going to be fine Hannah, they will sort your arm out, and then you will be fine," Mrs. Smith told her.
Hannah was then rushed by the nurses to operate on her arm.
Not long later Mr. Smith arrived at the hospital And was led to The waiting area where mrs smith was waiting.
"She's already been taken to operate on her arm they rushed her straight there apparently it's a really bad break and they're worried about infection and blood flow stopping." Mrs. smith told mr smith.
"She'll be fine they'll fix her arm and she'll be OK afterwards and so will the others," MR Smith said, trying to comfort his wife.
"I hope so" replied MRS smith.
