Back when I was still living in the palace, the palace maids used to comb Laura's long hair before she went to sleep. Sometimes Serenity herself combs the girl's hair. Now the sweet things that have happened in Laura's life are just memories that will slowly fade from memory.
Among the three types of vampires on earth, only Ordögöt upholds their customary values from year to year. The system of government that was once held by Julius and Serenity was a kingdom. So classic and untouched by modern things. Because according to Julius, based on the words of their ancestors, one day there will be weapons that destroy human civilization on this earth. Weapons are called modernity. That is why the vampire rdögöt prefers to live a medieval life rather than modern life.
"Don't turn me evil," Laura's voice was low. She looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her dark brown irises were filled with tears. "Ne változtass engem azzá, amit akarsz. (Don't turn me into what you want)."
The reflection of the shadow stopped following the movement of Laura who was combing her hair. More or less, Laura's image in the mirror moved by itself. As is usually the case with someone with alter ego disorder. But the difference is, that the shadow is not an alter ego, but a demon that resembles Laura's face.
"Semmi esély. (No chance)." The face of the image reflected in the mirror was flat, cold, and evil. "Hacsak nem akarsz meghalni. (Unless you want to die)."
Laura blinked her wet eyes a few times, thinking about the words of the demon that was in front of her at that moment. The demon introduced herself by the name of Hallot when she was a kid.
"Mi van, ha a halált választom? (What if I choose to die?)"
"Akkor te vagy a leghülyébb lány valaha. (Then you are the dumbest girl ever)."
"A halált választottam. (I chose death)."
Hallot really didn't like Laura's reply. The corners of her lips trembled with anger. No. She couldn't harm Laura because she was outside her body. Maybe later, Hallot will torture the girl for her words that the demon hates.
Laura's image reflected in the mirror was changing more and more. Her face was filled with cracks like the cracks of a broken wall, while her eyes were pitch black. Hallot's mouth opened, screaming in displeasure at Laura's presumptuous words just now. In an instant, Laura's beautiful face reflected in the shadow turned into a hideous demon face.
"Hogy merted ezt mondani, Laura Kristeva, Laura Kristeva. (How dare you say that, Laura Kristeva)." Hallot's furious growl sounded so threatening. As if she was used to it, Laura just stayed silent where she was without saying a word. "Megbüntetlek, kislány! (I will punish you, little girl!)."
Not long after, Hallot, who had been in the mirror, turned into a dark black mist which then came out of the mirror, re-occupying Laura's body to control her soul.
Deep down, Hallot was actually giving Laura her punishment. Made her feel like someone was strangling her. Until her body fell on the velvet carpet with her hands touching her neck.
"Hagyd abba… (Stop it)," Laura tried to make her voice choke like the creaking of an old door. "Hagyd abba. (Stop)…"
Instead of stopping the torment in his body, Hallot only added to the pain. This time it spread all over her body from top to bottom, like being burned alive. Oh no. It was more painful than being burned alive.
Laura's eyelids had been filled with tears that were ready to spill from the pain while her body stiffened. Usually, for an hour Laura was tortured in such a way from the inside by the demon who controlled her soul. Sometimes it could be more than an hour until the girl's body turned blue, and lost a lot of energy so that she was prompted to hunt for more human blood.
That was the kind of punishment she received because she opposed Hallot. It can be even more painful. And deep in Laura's heart, she did wish she could die instead of being tormented like that all the time.
