Chapter 147: Meeting Acquaintances

Jiu Shen with Xia Xinyue on his bossom landed on the grassy field outside of the mysterious cave. The pair saw a few dead bodies strewn all over the place which made Xia Xinyue a bit surprised. Jiu Shen merely took a quick glance at those corpses with his emotionless gaze before he walked straight towards the mouth of the mysterious cave. 

"Lord Sect Master, are you here for this cave?" Xia Xinyue was truly curious about this. With the strength that Jiu Shen showed and his high and mighty identity, what could be inside this cave that suddenly moved his heart? She started to speculate, but she really had no idea what Jiu Shen was here for.

Jiu Shen turned his gaze to Xia Xinyue and replied in an indifferent tone. "This cave is an abode of a top expert, and hidden inside his lair are countless high-level treasures. I'm here for those treasures, so don't ask any more questions and just silently follow behind me."
