As Daichi entered the classroom, the atmosphere shifted, with all eyes turning to him in anticipation. Rui's expression lit up with satisfaction at his arrival.

Taking his seat, Daichi's gaze naturally gravitated towards Mahiru, whose tear-streaked face and red eyes caught his attention. Despite her attempts to appear composed, her sadness was palpable as she stared ahead, avoiding any eye contact with Daichi.

Daichi's concern was evident as he leaned towards Mahiru and asked, "Hey, are you okay?" 

Mahiru forced a smile and met his gaze, replying, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Daichi continued to study her with a lingering intensity, his expression unreadable, while Mahiru maintained her strained smile.

As the teacher entered the classroom, the attention of the students shifted, signaling the start of the lesson. 

With the distraction of the lesson beginning, the tension between Daichi and Mahiru momentarily eased, allowing them to focus on their studies.
