When the meeting finally came to an end, some persons approached where Lily and Raven sat to greet them. It wasn't every day they saw Raven in the hospital, so they were surprised to see him with someone.

"Mr. Ryker, I have these documents..." one of them trailed, showing Raven where to sign.

Lily, thinking she might be blocking them from having Raven's attention, tried to stand, but he held her firmly.

"What are you doing?" She heard Raven's voice and turned to look at him.

"I'm trying to give you space to attend to everyone," Lily replied, her voice sounding small.

Raven narrowed his eyes at her. "You're too stubborn. Don't move, I said."

Lily turned and decided not to move again. She was too smart to ever go against Raven again. The thought of her last punishment tried to replay in her mind, and she shook her head.
