Chapter 674: Family Emergency

From the company, Fu Ling left for the restaurant where he met Xiulan the other day. He would have easily gone to a nearby restaurant to get dinner or go home for dinner, but he made effort to go to a far distance just to see Xiulan with the excuse of having lunch.

It's been 5 minutes since Fu Ling arrived at the restaurant and made an order, but he has since not set his eyes on Xiulan. For a while, he thought he had seen wrongly last time.

He had to wait until his order was brought to him before he asked the waiter some questions.

"Is there someone by the name Xiulan working here?" Fu Ling inquired.

The waited replied respectfully with a calm gaze, "Yes, Sir, but she is away today. There was an emergency at home so she took a half-day off from work."

Having received the information, Fu Ling waved the waiter away. He didn't believe that his coming to the restaurant would be futile. After eating, he left disappointed by not seeing Xiulan.
