"What am I even doing?" Zoe muttered to herself as she stood outside the door. She should go inside but she hesitated, afraid to face Gabriel. 

What if he was still mad at her and wouldn't talk to her, then it would be truly awkward. Damn, this was more serious than she thought. The worst part was that she couldn't avoid him since they lived together. 

Fine, she took a deep breath. There was no use delaying the inevitable, she had to face him. Hence Zoe put in the password and the door opened with a click, she went in. Her heart began to race as she carefully walked into the house, looking around for Gabriel.
