Without a moment's hesitation, Kay grabbed the mer by the collar and yanked him up to his knees, forcing him to look directly at him. His eyes were steely, devoid of any sympathy.

"Did you really think you could just escape without consequences?" Kay's voice was chilling, each word dripping with menace. He clenched his fist and delivered a brutal punch to the mer's face. The blow sent the mer sprawling onto the floor, causing him to groan in pain.

Kay's fury was evident as he grabbed the mer by the collar once more and dragged him up, only to slam him back down. He continued his relentless assault, striking the mer's ribs and face with controlled, furious precision. Each hit was calculated to cause maximum pain without killing him.
