Chapter 110: Killers on the Move

"I said I didn't, Holmes!"

"So the room was like this when Madam Miller was discovered?"

"Yes!"

"How intriguing…" the doctor in white murmured, the beak of his mask moving with his head tilt.

Mattheus quickly took snapshots of the room for the record as Artemius made sure the one who discovered the woman—a cleaning lady—had not disturbed the scene either.

The reason why the detective acted this way was that the body of Joanna Miller laid face-down, feet toward the wall that had a giant eye painted on it. There were signs on the wall of crucifixion and the body lay crumpled rather than arranged like the others.

The twenty-year-old noticed something off but would have to get closer to tell.

Once he was done capturing the untouched crime scene, he poked his head in and immediately felt the hairs at the back of his neck rise as he looked at the corners he couldn't see previously and found totems.
