Chapter 100: A Cautious Mark

Adjusting his tie a little, Mattheus curiously looked around the workshop of the Mecane local Brunilda decided could help with the Eulerian Circles Society. It was also a place that he reluctantly sent a message through Brunilda for Mark Owens to meet with him—away from the Hexadion Hall or the public.

He had changed to a more nondescript suit once arriving in his rooms at Hexadion Hall before disappearing, not needing to stay or answer to anyone when Honoria Crown was still in Basilea City helping Jack Vengulls hammer out creating a mall in the city.

(It had been amusing, the last letter the merchant sent through Brunilda when she checked up on the thirty-something one last time in Basilea. It had been filled with flattery but Mattheus could read the veiled message. The twenty-something had apparently unleashed a monster on Jack Vengulls called Honoria Crown. But, well, at least his mother was enjoying herself.
