Chapter 1: Where to live?
"Get out! You want to pay rent after two months! Keep dreaming! Get out!"
An old lady pushed me away from the door of the tenant while throwing my luggage case back to me. I could not even reply back before the door slammed right at my face.
I am an overseas student who had gone to another country for my university lesson. My made several preparations for my stay overseas. However, despite all my preparations, there were a few things that I had neglected.
Firstly, I had nowhere to stay in. The dorm that I had applied to was overbooked and I was among those that were kicked out and had to go looking for another place to live in. Secondly, I had close to no money. I initially had enough money for the money with some money to spare but with the price of property rent increasing, the amount of money I had was not enough even if I fast for several days.
Looking at the newspaper again, I was disappointed to see that the rent prices for buildings at the vicinity of the university was too expensive for me. I then noticed a flyer that was blown against a signpost. Out of curiosity, I went ahead to check the flyer.
The flyer said that there was an available hose for sale. Seeing that the price was so cheap that I initially assumed that it was a hoax. However, after calling the number on the flyer, I realized that the offer was real and immediately headed towards the location of the building. I immediately hailed a taxi and told the driver to head towards the address of the location.
As the taxi drove along the road, I noticed that the area had become more and more rural as the number of buildings in the area had decreased. The taxi managed to stop at the address and I immediately stepped out after paying the fare. The agent was already there waiting for me and brought me into the house to check out the home.
