Chapter 1: Titan Cronus
Cronus was a titan and one of the powerful gods he came into power by castrating his father Uranus he married Rhea, who later gave birth to the first Olympian gods to ensure safety and keeping the throne Cronus ate each of the children as they are born. This worked until Rhea, unhappy at the loss of her children, she tricked Cronus into swallowing a rock, instead of Zeus. When he grow up, Zeus revolted against Cronus and other titans, defeated them and banishing them to Tartarus in the underworld.
Cronus manage to escape to Italy, where he ruled as Saturn. During the period of his ruling it was said to be a golden age on earth, honoured by saturnaila feast. A festival was also held in Athens, honouring Cronus; it was called kronia and it took place on the twelfth day of the month hekatomban.
