Chapter 147: I am safe

AUBREY KEEPS HER EYES FIXED ON HER MIRROR AS SHE PUTS HER CLOTHES ON. She doesn't miss the way her eyes sparkle with excitement and the way her lips curl up into a smile in her reflection on the mirror. The events of last night seem to still have an effect on her and doesn't want to die down.

Though the two of them hadn't done anything special but lay beside each other through the seven hours of the night, she still feels excitement.

Her hands fumble with a button on her shirt as she slowly gets lost in her thoughts— last night, she could tell he never sleeps. It could still be the same reason as how he never eats; being immortal. However, he only laid by her side on the bed and watched her slowly fall asleep.
