We returned to school, and it thrilled me. When you go to a funeral of someone you don’t know, you get stuck talking to cousins you never met. Yeah, we have a massive family.

I came in and went up to my bedroom, setting my bag down, then unpacked my stuff. Pax tossed his bag into his room, along with Payton and Presley, who left to see their girls. Parker added to his mound of mess.

Pax walked into my bedroom.

/"Why do we always get stuck around a family that we don’t know?/" Pax asked me.

/"Beats the hell out of me. The entertainment was fun,/" I commented.

Pax laughed.

/"I know if I ever get married or die, Uncle Nixon Can perform both ceremonies,/" I mentioned.

/"The best part of the funeral,/" Pax smirked.

We heard the front door and footsteps, followed by someone dropping their books. I turned, and Britt charged me, tackling me to the ground.
