As Meng Xiao reached the market, she stopped running and quickly blended in with the crowd.
As she is going, she notices shops that are filled with demon core and Meng Xiao quickly goes to one.
In there she saw a middle-aged man with grey hair and a slightly wrinkled face.
"I want to buy some demon cores," Meng Xiao said to the man.
Hearing the word buy, the man's ear stood up. He has been looking for where to dump these demon cores since they have low to no market value and now a customer wants it, he will quickly see it.
"Demon cores cost 200 spirit stones," the man said with a smile hoping to fool her. Due to her young voice, he thought she was a rich young lady who was here to waste money.
"Why is the price of such a useless core worth that much? Do you think I don't know the price of demon cores? 50 spirit stones take it or leave it" Meng Xiao said with her bargaining skill active.
She also did not know the price of the demon core but she just called that low to see his reaction.
"I will accept 150 spirit stones," the man said.
"No 70 spirit stone," Meng Xiao said again.
"120 spirit stone"
" 100 and that final" Meng Xiao said.
"Deal," the man said.
"I would like to buy all the demon cores you have," Meng Xiao said.
"Every....everything?" the man said with popped eyes.
Even though demon cores are almost useless and have low worth, buying a whole shop filled with demon cores is a big deal.
"I...I will get on with it" the attendant said with a smile.
"There are 200 demon cores here, I am sure you will be satisfied by it," the man said with a proud smile.
"Satisfied? The number is so little that it won't be able to fill the gap between a particular someone's teeth" Meng Xiao thought inwardly.
"The price for one beast core is one hundred spirit stones and you are buying two hundred, the amount you are going to pay is 20,000. For buying this much, you will get a discount of 100 spirit stones" The middle-aged man said.
"Okay, take the money from this card," Meng Xiao said as she tossed the crystal card to the man.
"OK, I am going to check...Oh my god!!!?," the man said as he screamed out loud attracting a lot of attention.
Meng Xiao became alarmed at his sudden shout.
"What happened?" Many Xiao asked.
"Nothing, nothing to see here," the man said with an awkward laugh.
His previous action has disturbed the market and also attracted a lot of attention.
"Please come in," The man said inviting Meng Xiao in.
If it were before, Meng Xiao wouldn't have stepped in when her cultivation was still zero but now, as a six-level awakener, she can roam about a quarter of the market with nothing to fear.
As Meng Xiao followed the man, she was led to a room where high-esteem customers were attended to.

"Customer, we have confirmed that your card is authentic. I have assigned men to arrange the demon core. Where would you like it to be the cores to be stored?" the man said with a professional smile, his awkward laugh now being replaced.
"I will tell you when I get back," Meng Xiao said as she stood up and left.
After the exchange, Meng Xiao continued to head into most shops that sell beast cores and buy as many as she could.
She has bought from almost every shop selling demon cores but it is still not enough, the total number of cores she now has in her possession is 1,700.
"Zeus asked for 10,000 and now I have 1,700. It is time to take a trip to our old friend Meng Xiao thought inwardly as she headed towards the mind family auction house.
Now she isn't wearing another identity, she came as an anonymous customer.
As Meng Xiao entered she saw the same attendee who attended to her when she last came.
"I want to propose a deal with manager Zhi," Meng Xiao said with a husk voice imitating the voice of a young man.
"Who are you? Do you have an appointment with him?" the attendee asked with a mocking gaze.
"Tell Manager Zhi that a customer wants to see him," Meng Xiao said again.
"The manager's name isn't something you can just say," the attendee said with a frown on her face.
"Let me tell you, there are a lot of people who behave like a big shot but trust me, it did not end well for them," the attendee said. She did not see any worth in Meng Xiao.
"I want to still see the manager," Meng Xiao said with her usual forced husk voice.
"Don't expect pity from me when you get your limbs broken" the attendee said as she left seductively moving her hips. The other men on the line looked away with a flushed red face.
"Manager, a customer wants to see you. He said he has a deal for you" the attendee said.
"Invite him for me," Manager Zhi said from inside the closed office.
"I will go and bring him," the attendee said as she left the door.
"Follow me," the attendee said to Meng Xiao as she was at the manager's office.
"He is here," she said as she knocked on the door.
"Let him in," Manager Zhi said with a domineering voice.
As many Xiao entered the room, the sight of Manager Zhi sitting on a black leather chair with an oppressive aura and sharp eyes attracted Meng Xiao's attention. "Isn't he the scared little cat? Now he is all tough" Meng Xiao thought inwardly as she walked to the chair closer to the table.
