Chapter 14: Fifth year at the academy
I had maintained my first rank in the academy for the fourth consecutive year further increasing sasuke's jealousy towards me and I took great pleasure in ignoring him the same way Kakashi does to Gai. I had mastered the advanced katas of the anbu style taijutsu and Kenjutsu and also mastered the slug style taijutsu. Now all I did when it came to taijutsu and Kenjutsu practice was sparring daily with mom and intense exercises for speed, strength, endurance and flexibility. I had started fighting a group of my shadow clones which I could make thirty at a time now by evading all their attacks by only using high speed shunshin one after the another to get my body used to moving at those speeds but I had still not found a solution to the problem of tunnel vision while using high speed shunshin and I was hoping to activate the Mind's eye of Kagura technique special to the Uzumaki as it would completely remove the problem of tunnel vision and increase the range of sensing massively.
I had managed to reverse the flow of waterfall and complete my water manipulation training and learned the water dragon jutsu, Triangular water wall jutsu, hidden mist jutsu, and water blade jutsu. He had completed the third stage of elemental manipulation for lightning and had learnt the lightning bolt jutsu, the raiton : ikazuchi no utage( banquet of lightning) where the user stamps his foot on the ground and lightning raced along the ground and the Raiton: rairyuu no Tatsumaki ( lightning dragon tornado) and the lightning heavenly halberd jutsu which was throwing a concentrated lightning chakra shaped into a halberd using shape manipulation at a target this did not require any hand seals but an insane level of control over lightning chakra and good hold on shape manipulation which I had after completing the third stage of lightning manipulation and perfecting the rasengan with one hand and forming it instantly. I had managed to cut large boulders in half for my third stage of wind manipulation and had learned the Futon: renkudan( drilling air bullet) and the kaze no yaiba and also mastered launching wind blades from my new chakra conductive katana after the hokage had me update the seals on the walls of the village and the hokage tower like I had done with my apartment and the Sarutobi compound. I had also identified four spy and recording seals in the hokage tower which I had immediately disabled after creating a seal which traced back the chakra from those seals and caused a high pitched screeching noise at the places where the receiver seals were placed for the spy seals leading to the arrests of three spies from kumo and iwa and the last receiver seal was found in an empty tunnel which lead me to assume that it was placed either by danzo or a spy of Orochimaru. The hokage had declared it an s class mission and I bought a chakra conducting katana with the money from the mission and inscribed weight seals on it to make it more heavy so as to increase my arm strength and also inscribed seals on it which would make it vibrate the blade vibrate at high speeds when lightning chakra is channeled through it increasing its cutting powerful to nearly just below the kusanagi. I had mastered the first two chakra manipulation exercises for fire and had learned the fire ball jutsu, great fireball jutsu, fire dragon jutsu.
I had started to wear a face mask like Kakashi mine had seals inscribed on it which filtered the air and prevented me from breathing any poisons.
During the last month before the end of my fifth year in the academy I had finally managed to activate the Minds eye of the kagura after finishing the level 7 of the Fuinjutsu books . It was about linking and merging seal arrays and how to make different arrays compatible enough to be merged or how to build a bridge between them if they weren't compatible. it also focused on other methods of activation of seals like change in pressure or temperature. There were several non chakra methods to activate seals and seal masters could even use emotional states to activate seals. During the excitement of finally finishing volume 7 I suddenly started experiencing sensory overload and nearly fainted due to a blinding headache and it took nearly an hour to settle down and it was only then that I realized that I was able to sense everyone within a two kilometres radius of me and also their chakra reserves and almost jumped in joy when I realized that I had finally managed to activate the mind's eye of the kagura. I later realized that the sensory technique activated when I was working on creating a basic version of the famed lightning cloak of the raikage and accidentally channeled too much lightning chakra to my brain which most probably activated the sensory technique when I was healed by the Kyuubi's chakra. I had also advanced to level 27 of my resistance seals. During this year hinata and Ino had me place resistance seals on their bodies and both of them had advanced to the 5th level of their resistance seals. Hinata and Ino had also mastered the water walking exercise and could now spar on top of water without sinking. During this year I had helped Konohamaru in activating his chakra as well as thought him the leaf sticking exercise and made him practice it regularly by promising to teach him the replacement jutsu if he he could stick five leaves to his body for an hour.
