Chapter 69: Who Will I Be Tonight?

Clone #3 captured yet another scheming conversation involving Crafty and her crew. The group, as usual, was up to no good.

"The info broker says spies have infiltrated the Magic Academy," Crafty announced.

"If we catch them, we'll be heroes," another member said eagerly.

"We might even get a nice fat reward," chimed a third.

"Let's do it," Crafty declared.

The group stationed themselves near the academy gates, lying in wait. When the spies appeared, Crafty stepped forward with a smug grin.

"Don't take this personally, but we're going to capture you and wring the truth out of you—even if it means a little torture."

The spies, unamused, exchanged glances. "We've done nothing illegal since entering this country. And we're certainly not spies."

"Save it. No one believes you," Crafty sneered.

"Fine. Then we'll defend ourselves," one of the spies replied, bracing for a fight.
