Chapter 67: ch67- Divine Fortune

Despite the fact that the game was still a multiplayer one, no matter how powerful Alex became, he couldn't be everywhere at once. Without the help of his classmates, he wouldn't have been able to progress this far.

Having decided to reveal some of his wealth, Alex didn't waste time with pleasantries and said, "Stop fussing around. If you need to borrow points, follow me to Quinn's shop. I'll exchange the resources and distribute the points."

Even Daniel, the class joker, was moved by Alex's generosity, unable to find the right words to say. With complex emotions, the group followed Alex back to Quinn's shop.

Seeing Alex return, Quinn was curious and couldn't help but ask, "Lord Alex, what brings you back?"

Clearing his throat, Alex waved it off casually and said, "Nothing much, just exchanging some more points. Here are 387 R-grade resource crystals."

"More?!" Quinn almost shouted, wide-eyed, but under Alex's sharp gaze, he forced himself to stay quiet. With a wry smile, he accepted the crystals and, after counting them, said, "That's 387 R-grade crystals. Due to the large quantity, I can only offer you 93% of the market price."

Quinn, ever the businessman, offered Alex a lower rate than last time—2% less than the usual price. While that didn't seem like much, with each crystal worth 200,000 points, that 2% discount added up to nearly a million points for the 387 crystals.

But Alex didn't argue. He nodded and quickly received a sum of 71.98 million points. Adding this to the 32.68 million points he had already exchanged, Alex's total now sat at a staggering 104.66 million points.

In reality, over 30 of Alex's classmates still had N-grade abilities. After East Sea City was established, several of their "missing" classmates had resurrected as well. However, not everyone was interested in fighting. Some, particularly the girls, had already found jobs in the city's shops. Therefore, only 27 classmates were looking to improve their potential for battle.

Subtracting the four who already had R-grade abilities—like Jenny and Michael—Alex needed to lend out 69 million points to help the remaining 23 classmates, like Daniel, each purchase an N-grade source stone.

As Alex casually lent out millions of points, Jenny, Michael, and the rest—who had once considered themselves wealthy—were left speechless.

Daniel, always the joker, nudged Alex. "Dude, with all these points, why not buy another 'Holy Angel' set for yourself?"

Alex shook his head. "You can only buy one of the two divine sets, and each person is limited to one set. I can't buy another."

"You could lend some points to the Queen and have her buy it," Daniel suggested with a wink.

The idea struck Alex. Since he was already investing in building his team, why not go further? After all, the 'Dragon God' and 'Holy Angel' sets were limited to only 10,000 in the entire world. They were definitely worth the investment.

While the rest of his classmates were still making purchases, Alex returned to Quinn's shop. Under Quinn's trembling hands, Alex pulled out 42 SR-grade resource crystals, glowing with a soft golden light.

With a shaky voice, Quinn accepted the crystals, saying, "I can only offer you 92% of the price for these."

The SR-grade resource crystals were worth 5 million points each, and at 92%, Alex was losing nearly 20 million points. But since he had acquired the crystals so easily, Alex didn't mind the loss and agreed to the deal.

After exchanging the 42 SR-grade crystals, Alex received 193.2 million points. Adding this to his remaining 35.66 million points, he now had a total of 228.86 million points—an astronomical sum.

Seeing that massive number, even Alex felt a little dizzy. He glanced at his classmates and said, "I've got 228 million points now."

"What the...?!"

"Is this for real?!"

"This is insane!"

"Dad! I'm your long-lost son!"

"Alex, please sponsor me!"

Before Alex could even finish his sentence, just the sheer number of points had sent everyone into a frenzy. They couldn't help but wonder if Alex had been sitting on billions of points this whole time.

After calming them down, Alex continued, "Even though I have 2 billion points, it's still not enough for everyone to get a full divine set. So, here's what I'll do. First, I'll pick 4 or 5 of you to get a full set. Then, I'll lend the rest of you 5 million points each so you can buy at least one piece of divine gear."

While it sounded fair, the distribution of the gear was still a tricky issue. How could they make sure no one felt left out?

After some discussion, no clear solution emerged. That's when Lily noticed that the second piece of both divine sets was quickly running out of stock. After all, there were plenty of people worldwide who had saved up 5 million points.

"Let's stop arguing, and I'll make the decision," Alex finally declared, putting an end to the bickering. He chose Jenny, Lily, Michael, Daniel, and Ethan to receive full sets.

Lily and Ethan opted for the 'Holy Angel' set, while Jenny, Michael, and Daniel went for the 'Dragon God' set, just like Alex.

The five divine sets cost a total of 125 million points, and after lending 5 million points to each of the remaining 20 classmates, Alex's wealth was reduced to 103.86 million points.

"Wow! The 'Million Merit Package' has been completely sold out!" Daniel suddenly exclaimed, staring at the shop.

Curious, the rest of the group checked the store and found it was true.

The 'Million Merit Package,' which had a massive stock of one million, had been completely emptied in such a short amount of time!

However, the shop had restocked with a 'Two Million Merit Package,' containing the same items as the previous one, but now it required 2 million points to unlock. There were still one million of these available.

They also noticed that the ten-million-point package was more limited, with only 10,000 in stock, and 8,000 of those had already been claimed. The 30-million and 50-million packages were even rarer, each with only 100 available, though most were still unclaimed.

Considering Alex had just bought six sets of divine armor worth 30 million points, he realized he might be the only person in the world with such a massive haul.

To everyone's surprise, when Jenny, Michael, Daniel, Lily, and Ethan redeemed the 30-million-point packages, each of them received an R-grade source stone. This meant that all five of them had become SR-grade potential wielders!

In contrast to the Yamato Alliance's SR-grade fighter boasting about saving the world, Alex's East Sea City had just casually produced five SR-grade warriors by sheer spending power. It was truly a laughable comparison.
