I closed my eyes with a sigh and let the needle slip through limp fingers. It wasn’t like anyone would miss me. They could always find someone else to beat or rape. The nothingness was a relief. At least now I have peace.
Only...since when did 'nothingness' have so many gods?
As one of ten heroes chosen by the Divine, I was sent to another world to fend off a demon invasion. But, the gods aren’t all helpful, and treat this as a game. Waking up in the magical world of Enusia, I found myself cursed and alone, clapped in chains and despised. This world was worse, far worse than the playground I so naively left behind, filled with betrayal, pain, and death.
I've heard that the brightest lights cast the longest shadows. Perhaps, in this life, I can find if that's true. I'm tired of living in the dark. It's time to find the light.

Write a reviewThe Forsaken Hero's narrative balances intrigue, cosmic conflict, and supernatural elements, promising an engaging fantasy adventure. The concept of chosen heroes, enigmatic blessings, and non-interference policies is intriguing.
Please, I beg you to read this book. This is by far one of the best tragedies I've ever read. The internal struggles that the main character goes through are so well done. From trust, betrayal, and trauma, all are descriptive and very much well written. So much so that it makes me slightly concerned for the author's well-being and whether or not they are writing some parts from experience. After all that she's gone through, you follow along her road to recovery. Experiences in which others help to get over her trauma and help her trust and smile again. Of course, with all tragedies, relapses are bound to happen, but she learns to become stronger and overcome it. The world building is phenomenal. Her experiences and purity tie in to what she views of the world and how the world is shaped by the main character's perspective. From the gods' and demons' plans, she is caught in the middle of it all, trying to do what she believes is right, all while struggling with her emotions and trauma and focusing on her road to recovery. One of my favorite traits about this book is how skill progression works. It is unlike any system from common books with that function. The 'levels' come from , not by numbers, but personal experience with training and battle. While she is extremely weak from the beginning due to a handicap, most of her power comes from her ingenuity. There are minimal mistakes in grammar. I'm not even sure if I've found a single one yet. The author puts a tremendous amount of effort into writing this book. While this book is a perfect gem, I will warn you that it is very, very dark. It is not for the faint of heart and covers many sensitive topics, and it will continue for an extended period of time. Again, I beg you, please read this book. I haven't read a book I thoroughly enjoyed much like this, even contending books published by HarperCollins.
I love this novel. The Author did a great job when it comes to story telling. Keep up the good work Author.
I've seen a lot of short stories, manga and anime... But I have not yet seen the unfair and difficult fate of the main character so much... Unless, perhaps, in the novel "Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu", although it pales in comparison with this work... I've never been a very sensitive person... But even this novel eventually broke me to such an extent that I could no longer continue reading, because together with the main character I reached the very bottom of hopelessness (hopelessness of the "god" level), and was no longer able to cope with it... I read the chapters that followed after this point with all my might, on my last breath, in the hope that the main character would still escape from this hell and be able to take revenge on someone... To be honest, I am not a fan of such hopelessness. But I cannot deny that the author has created a masterpiece. The elaboration of the plot and characters is also on top. This novel reminded me a little of the atmosphere of old printed works from the category of fantasy and fiction written before 1990.
The author has taken a typical isekai story and put an interesting twist on it. The characters are well thought out, story progression feels smooth, and the payoff is worthwhile. I've enjoyed reading this story very much.
I will start reading the novel because of the story and I hope there is normal romance not yuri.
The story is interesting. It keeps you captive and author can do better in writing. Fantasy story are really good choice while choosing a book.

A very captivating fantasy book unfolds as the gods convene champions to combat demons aspiring to rule the world. In an intriguing twist, our main character is unexpectedly transported to this realm as a demon, and the hero of the goddess of fate burdened with a divine curse imposed by one of the gods. This curse renders her incapable of attacking or wielding a sword. The story is immersed in a dark fantasy setting, with the protagonist's inner monologue hinting at her tragic background. While the world may be characterized as "dark," it also possesses moments of light. The main character's personality reflects someone who has grown weary of being controlled and seeks to embark on a new path. Unfortunately, it appears that the world is not ready to accept her transformation, as she faces prejudice and disdain as a despised demon in a human supremacist country. The book explores mature themes and portrays the main character's development as a gradual process. Readers are encouraged to continue delving into the narrative to discover the protagonist's adventures and the inevitable tragedies she will encounter along the way.
