She hurried to the bathroom to take her bath, leaving the two kids staring at her with baffled expressions on their faces.
In less than thirty minutes they were already headed to school.
They didn't talk much on the way but the atmosphere was harmonious. And of course Elvis did not forget to praise the gigantic tall Hudson Corporations' building when they passed by it.
When they got to school, Kathleen escorted them to where a teacher was waiting to receive them.
Before handing them over to the teacher, she crouched down to their level and looked from one child to the other. "Be good and study hard. I'll come pick you up in the evening."
"Yeah, yeah." Eleanor bobbed her head in understanding.
Elvis mouthed a "No worries, mummy."
Before releasing them to the teacher, she gave each of them a peck.
"Bye mummy," waved the children as they followed the teacher to their class.
