Chapter 4: Chapter 4 - Well...at least...I don’t...meh...dood....
...something smells burnt...it smells awful, like rotten eggs. As I open my eyes, I notice the red glow in the sky, it's sunset, not night, or day. If I were to guess, this would be purgatory, or hell? Cause it's either the middle, or not....
I look around, and I see a line of creatures, all of them are waiting in line for something. Heck, a lot of them are human, though they're spread out. I head over to one of the creatures, and ask what the line is for. He looks at me indifferently, "were waiting in line, so that they can separate us into our regions of punishment that correlated to our version of the afterlife."
"Oh," I respond, like a robot, without emotion. I just stand there, beside the lizard, and wait for the line to move. After a minute, I notice something weird. Why am I waiting in line for punishment? Actually, now that I think about it, why am I not afraid of this creature?
I'm dead, and I'm here, why doesn't that bother me?? Something's off, I step to the side, and get out of the line. As I do so, no one notices me, they just ignore me. Seeing that something is obviously wrong, I move away from the line.
No one is doing anything, it's like their emotions have been cut off, like they're zombies. Judging from his answer though, their might be someone who passes by, and orders them around, they probably left cause none of them are capable of leaving right?
I'm probably wrong, but I ain't gonna risk it, and just leave. I start to head out, but no one stops me, and as I look at the line, it goes on for a very long time. I definitely ain't gonna stick around.
After a while, I try to recollect my memories, when I remember how I died, it's dumb. I don't have any words to describe how I died, it was underwhelming.
As I get farther, and farther from the line, I notice in the distance that there are people on a floating platform just messaging away on a hologram as it moves to a city in the distance. Seems people are lazy here too..., that should be good, means they might have a boring tedious job that no one wants right?
I head to the city, but feel nervous, they might not allow humans in the city, and humans might be seen as slaves. Just Incase, I'll observe the gate from a distance.
Well, as long as I can make it to the city, it's been a while already.
...it's been hours, and though it seems I'm closer, I'm still a good distance away....
You know, I remember a game I played a long time ago, about those who went to hell, the little penguin bro's, the prinnys' man I love those little guys. Though they were scum as humans, much like me lol.
