Molly offered a bitter smile. "Maybe."

If it weren't for her grandma's dying wish, she wouldn't have even considered looking for her birth family. After all, being abandoned next to a trash bin meant whoever left her there never expected her to survive.

"If you need my help, just let me know. We've been searching for my sister for years, so we're more familiar with the process and connections than most families."

A hint of laughter danced in Joshua Thompson's eyes, his tone seemingly relaxed, but an underlying melancholy lingered.
