Synopsis
"A mirror?" she wondered, rubbing the smooth surface with her slender fingers. "What's so special about it? It looks so ordinary."
"Just not a plain mirror," replied the grandfather. His gaze distant, his voice was hoarse as he explained. "It'll change your life to the deepest core. Here, since it is your sixteenth birthday, I'll pass it to you as a present."
"How will it change anything?" she retorted, tapping the pristine yet dull surface. "You must be joking! Always prancing about how I need to be more vain, so mean!"
"You will see in due time," was the reply.
You will see in due time. Just how a single, useless mirror will change your life in many ways unexpected by anyone.
Grandfather was indeed correct. An Fei could not help but admit it. The mirror had completely changed her life, just as he had said.
Only, was she presented hell, or a new life?
Because....

A handsome man dressed in black robes patted her on the back, softly whispering into her ear.
That handsome appearance combined with his devilish allure, he would torment her night and day without pause, tethered by a tender string of sweetness.

The dedication the author put into the novel is evident, and amazing. The descriptions are vivid, and the realism is nicely portrayed in the characters. The history behind each idea and scene the author presents is nicely expanded, adhering to the traditional culture even if only the official's conversations are the only hint we get. There aren't much digressions from a traditional society and world except for the fantasy element, which is a refreshing read. The character realism is the best I've seen so far. From what we get, the main character doesn't possess a prestigious or overpowered skill foundation, but is more than sensible enough to adapt to her scenarios. She doesn't try to display any outlandish or extraordinary behavior, which is quite interesting and makes the reader wait for more. Although there hasn't been much dialogue from the main character, her thoughts are still nicely portrayed with indirect mentions and actions, a nice refresh from the classic "in your face" writing style. The novel is slow-paced but with a gradual plot, and has great potential. The grammar and writing style is excellent, and if the author is translating their own content to English before uploading it onto here, then extra kudos for that. Since it is still in the early stages, I'll drop another review when the novel is more developed. Good work!

Before i give my reviews, let me say this..." Good job! ๐ " The story is very interesting that's the first thing that came in my mind while reading the novel. The FL, i like the way you portrays her character sort of timid and reserve but defiant, fight when provoked. At the first reading I somewhat got loss with all the flowery words you used..(i don't know to other readers) but sometimes my mind that draws out the image which i imagine while reading those words somewhat mess up..the words made the imagination to hard, sorry..i skip some flowery words though while reading, like i have to assured myself that I don't have to read and understand it but to jump through it and just go with the real flow of the story itself..other than that i think everything are great๐, the particular place or thing in the story are very detailed even the sounds, i like it. (As if i heard it myself)..it is a promising novel, so I will motivate you to continue writing this novel by giving u a daily vote๐คฉand please don't sell it too early..(i only have four novels in my library, one is consuming my SS too much๐ญ..i always end up broke.. I like the story so far. The word that comes to mind is unique. I have only read 16 chapters but this has potential. I especially love an emperor loyal to his empress

I came from a review that the author posted about how the story could be improved. It was detailed and they seemed like they knew there stuff about writing. So I'm here to read it (not a review but it is a review?) Anyway the story will be a great read from what I have seen already ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ

The author does a good job at trying to make everything so mysterious, but unfortunately it also makes the story hard to follow and feels jumbled, at least to me. The pace is also a bit too slow for my taste, but I would recommend this novel to those who don't mind waiting for answers and also likes detached and aloof MC.
What a tyrannical and pitiful villain, father. An author can masterfully convey feelings and emotions, whip up intrigue ... immediately the hand of a man of nature's knowledge is heard ... Oh, these old men ... sly East foxes ... they have their own plan for the life of their descendants ... an interesting plot! Interesting and this time the father is good? and mother villain? What is the essence of sending at another time? Grandfather, still that ... eccentric! Not quite clear ... uncle is father? Why is the main character calling his uncle, father? After the stones that stroked outcast, burnt pancakes, seem the most delicious food! Oh, the author knows the subtleties of clan life. When the next of kin is plotting evil ... in the shadows, and in the world everyone is smiling at each other sweetly))) the author describes it skillfully. Oh ... a palace servant, not in the presence of the emperor, to report the news to the ear of the minister ... he is clearly a suicide bomber ... in the evening a gift from the emperor can come to him - a cup with poison and a black silk cord ... The text, the story itself delays, instead of 10 chapters already 13 !!! Ahahahahaha !!! I seem to have found a magnificent pearl for my library !!! Let me start by saying that the way the author describes the sceneries and background is so vivid and so exquisite, that I can literally visualize each and every scene. You can see how much care and effort is being put into this story. True, this story is slow paced. But thatโs because there is more emphasis to detail and in a way, the story is written in a slice of life kind of pattern. The words flow and describe the events passing from one day to the next.
A very promising novel. It is refreshing in terms of being original, including unexpected plot twists. I have ready my fair share of novels, many of them either following similar storylines, character backgrounds, etc so many times when they update and I go to read them, I end up confusing them with one another. This is one of the few novels that I can instantly remember everything because of how original it is. Although its pace is slower than what I am accustomed to I appreciate the steady updates. I recommend this novel if you're looking for a change of pace from other standard novels. ๐โค๐โค
I could not wait to review a novel since ages ago. It has been so long since I read a novel written so well, the story is fascinating and full of mysteries. It is different from ordinary time-traveling ones. Definitely recommend this if you got bored from usual time traveling perfect know-all invincibile ladies๐ธ
I really like this book till now.โ The start was unexpected but very original. The further development was steady and not to fast or slow. I'm also very in love with the characters. While reading this book I felt very relaxed and easy not like other books were I'm mostly frustrated.
It's an interesting story! I still have problems following it sometimes, but I look forward to reading more of this novel! Just to see what happens next! The MC seems very interesting! I want to know what happens to her! So I will continue to read this novel! โคโคโคโคโค
It's an interesting story to read! It was a little hard to follow, but it turned very interesting. A little slow for my taste, but some people really like that. As for me, I like it a little bit faster than this. But as an overall novel it's ok to read! It gets very interesting! โคโคโคโคโค
Great focus on detail and realism for the characters and world development. It's a fresh start compared to other novels that jump into the superior MC trope - with this novel, you get a gradual introduction into the fantasy element. The grammar is excellent, one of the best I've seen to yet. The characters are of realistic personalities, and there aren't many flaws with the novel, even at such an early stage.
