Chapter 179: Meeting

As soon as the call ended, Arren drew a deep breath and stared at his phone for a while. He pursed his lips; worry was written on his expression as he thought of Spade.

For a moment there, Arren wanted to take the initiative to ask the alpha if he could be there with him when he finally knew what was inside the chip. While he was curious about the information on it, his intention was mostly to just be there with the alpha, as he sensed the doubt and even anxiety in his voice. 

However, Arren barely stopped himself from doing so. He realized that this time it was better for Spade to be alone. After all, whatever information was inside it, everything was left by the late Emperor to Spade. Being with him and wanting to comfort his alpha was tempting, but it was also necessary for Arren to give him space. 

Sighing to himself, Arren put down his phone, leaned the back of his head on the couch, and closed his eyes.
