Chapter 44: Hateful

While he was confused, he didn't ask about it. Instead, he asked something else.

"As an Emperor, is it necessary to visit the home of one of your subjects?" Arren inquired jokingly. He also saw how the alpha seemed taken aback until it also smiled.

The awkward atmosphere because of their statuses seemed to vanish in an instant; in the first place, it was Arren all along who didn't know how he should act in front of Spade after he found out his real identity, not the other way around.

A playful smile appeared again on those menacing lips; Arren only could stare. what else he could do? Damn Spade for being so hot. So hateful.

"Why shouldn't I? Does being an Emperor forbid me from visiting the person I like?" Spade said it like as though it was a simple statement and nothing to be shocked about.
