Chapter 84: Coming to Terms

Rhys woke up 

 once more after what felt like days, and his eyelids slowly opened.

Rhys found he was lying horizontally on a mattress, which was covered by a white blanket.

As he moved his head, his vision grew clearer. 

He glanced over to his side and saw Kariel sitting opposite him.

The old man was fast asleep.

Rhys sat up and rubbed his head.

" Ow!! Where am I?!" Rhys exclaimed in alarm.

" Hi Rhys! You're awake! How are you feeling? Your arms and chest have bruises everywhere..." Kariel said happily, his eyes full of joy.

" Who hit me? Where is everyone else?" he questioned while trying to stand up.

" Relax, take care not to move yourself too much."

" What happened to everybody ...and why does my body feel so... strange ?"

" Calm down Kid, you successfully mastered the Supreme Body Hardening Technique!" Kariel declared cheerfully.
