Chapter 69: The Clinic

"Get out!" Zane said and he looked away. For some reason, he did not want to watch the various emotions that crossed Phoenix's face. He poured water into the pot and waited for it to boil before he added the noodles.

He only paused for a second when he heard the door snap shut. It was good like this, towards Phoenix he had always been indecisive, he should have ended their friendship a long time ago. They were too different.

Zane did not know how the rest of his cooking went. He followed the recipe robotically. He added the peanut butter, soy sauce, chilli and garlic paste and stirred before mixing the rinsed noodles into the mix and some green onions. He slurred them robotically, his tongue not tasting the spices in the food.
