Chapter 18: Chapter 17: Robert’s Rebellion

The rebellion had started and all lords called their banners. No one wanted to be taken off guard.

I decided to send my children Xavier and Malenia and some of our household to Braavos where they will stay at a manse until the war is done. So I can concentrate on the war to come.

I planned to leave Limgrave to my heir,Aemon some time in the future. Maybe when he is 20 and married. I already made it a family rule that no children born of our line are bastards. Our blood is too special to hold to the standards of these medieval men.

So he must be careful who he fucks cause if he has a child that will be his heir. Luckily for them because of lack of paternity tests I gene locked our bloodline to having red eyes. Its so unique that no one will be able to lie if they are not of our line.

'So what do you think I should do with this,Aemon?'

'The crown have spat on all their vows. Normally we should be on the side of the Rebellion but we have familiar ties to the Targareyans. You through Rhaella and Rhaenys and I are friends.'

Sometimes I love the mental boost that our ability gives us. Even a seven year old kid can think logically. All he needs is experience. That's why I did not send him away. He needs to know and understand what he is fighting for.

Our continued prosperity. Because if there is a new administration they might try to put us down.

But alas we are a minor house for all our wealth. Our populatiom just started growing and I can't take all the men and women and head to war.

'As a minor house we can't field many men. From my warging I've seen Baratheon marching his way back from the Stormlands to the Riverlands with a mighty host. We must pick who we will attach our house to.'

'The Reach is marching towards the Stormlands. With our ships we can help besiege Storm's End.'

'No. It would not give us enough fame. This war is an opportunity for our house to grow respect as able warriors and commanders. I saw Lord Tarly moving differently from the rest of the army maybe he has a plan. He is an able commander and we need to get on his boat quick. Afterwards we'll link up with the rest of the Crown's army.'

'We have five thousand people at arms ready. How many are you taking with you?'

'How many elites do we have?'

'2300 experienced fighters. The Amazon regiment is surprisingly good numbering at 65 women all amazing with a bow.'

'I see. I'll take 2000 men both experienced and inexperienced alongside the Amazons. I'll leave the rest to guard our waters and lands to you and Steward Hastly.' I paused before continuing,

'Afterall a Radahn must be at The Erdtree.'

In a few days the Elden Lord left Limgrave on a small sized fleet with 2060 warriors to join up with the army led by Lord Tarly who was preparing for Robert Baratheon at Ashford a castle he must pass if he wants to make it out to Riverrun.

A raven was sent to Lord Tarly to expect their arrival and to integrate them into his battle plan.

It was well received and the Elden Lord was given the honor of being one of the generals.

Robert Baratheon blew everyone's minds when he defeated three armies in a single day. Absorbing them and taking their lords hostages.

Lord Tarly, Lord Hightower and myself came up with a battle plan to crush Robert. Or at least an outline of attack and defense.I was to lead the infantry and disorient them from the middle. I instructed my Amazons that this is not the battle for them to shine yet.

With my armor, compound bow and Destined Death I was prepared to slaughter my way to Robert.

Nothing personal, its just business. He knows he's fighting on the wrong side. He needed to put Baratheon down to increase his respect in the kingdom. He is known as an elite fighter but that is not enough he needs to put the fear of God in them.

A parlay was called before battle. Robert tried to convince Tarly of his folly and righteousness of his cause. Tarly and I stated we are sworn to the crown and the crown we shall obey. He offered him a chance to surrender but of course he rebuffed it. The battle commenced afterwards.

Tarly was a military man and during peace he trained his men for war and it showed. They were very organized and commands were carried out swiftly.

As the two armies clashed Tarly sent his calvary to harass the stormlands flank. Me and my men burst through their middle killing three for their one. I personally slew about twenty men as I was on the prowl for Robert to end everything here.

I came upon Lord Selmy and our steels met. We fought for a few seconds before I cut him down and took him prisoner.

Baratheon was no where to be found. My men and I continued our butchery through their lines before we saw Baratheon put down one of Tarly's cousins.

By then we had already slaughtered about three thousand of his men. He managed to escape my sight again. Clearly not wanting ti die here m.

Robert then sent about two thousand men to cause trouble while he and the other ten thousand men took the opportunity to retreat quickly without care breaking through and escaping towards the Riverlands.

We didn't let them go unheeded and managed to take out hundreds of their men in the process. I retreated abit behind my soldiers before pulling a my bow and arrow and aimed it at his retreating back.

One shot at this is all I'll get.

'May you fly straight and true.'

It was about 600 paces and with all the chaos going on I couldn't account for everything. The arrow flew true and pierced Robert's shoulder.

He left it in there and soldiered on with the retreat. Let it never be said Baratheon is not a true warrior.

He escaped but got handed the first defeat of the Rebellion.

After the battle Tarly and I gathered the hostages unto my ship and transported them to Highgarden.

I noticed the stares and awe most of them looked at me like now. The warrior reborn. A demon that couldn't be touched. Gone is my tourney knight reputation. Now I have cemented I am one of the most terrifying men to face in this kingdom.

I decided to integrate the levies from the captured group into mine to make up the numbers lost and improve on them. Bringing us up to 3060 men.

Lord Tarly's work was stolen by Mace Tyrell. Citing it was all his plan. I never felt like punching someone in the face like this since I first killed some slavers. I eventually disengaged and led my men down the road towards Duskendale. I heard that is where the Crown's allies are gathering to form a huge army.
