The Dungeon Tree

Chapter 1: Prologue

Ten thousand years ago a tree was planted in the center of our world, that tree grew higher than any other tree in the world. It's not known how it got so big, nor is it known who grew it. Back to the tree, the tree became some sort of dungeon. Life thrived there, it had plenty of water and food for people to live there.

It was rumored not too long ago that whoever climbed the top of the tree first would get to wish for anything, and of course everyone attempted to climb it. Many people lost their lives in the tree, multiple monsters lived on each floor and sometimes there would be a monster that was ten times bigger than all the other one's.

Once you enter the tree you cannot leave, you're stuck in there until someone climbs the top of the tree, or you die.

At the age of seventeen my older brother decided to go climb the tree so he could wish for our village to live in peace. At the time, a drought had consumed our village killing many of my friends. I waited for four years for my brother to return, but he never did. I couldn't just stay at my village and let my brothers sacrifice go to waste, so when I became sixteen I decided to enter the tree. This is where my story begins.
