Chapter 404: APPREHENSION - PART 4

Serpen's light glowed a bright sapphire blue between Faye's hands. The air around her sizzled with its powerful magic. She entered the tent, setting to work with healing the first man. He looked to be the sickest of the knights. Nine men in total needed her help. 

Faye knelt beside the first man, and Sterling heard her whisper to him, "It's okay now." She brushed his sweat-soaked bangs from his pale face. She cared for him like a mother, comforting a child. "The blessings of Iahn and his light will be upon you," she said to him.

Watching Faye work touched Sterling deeply. She cared not if they were friends or foes; she would do all in her power to help. Her heart was filled with more love than the world itself.

Her hands and the light gliding over the dying man's body healed the open wounds that the plague had so viciously caused. Sterling heard the sick knight's breath return to normal, no longer gasping for air.
