Chapter 203: Floating

Maxieno offered a faint, confident smile. "Sunshine, just entrust everything to me."

Suri, with her thoughts in a whirlwind of curiosity and trepidation, found herself unexpectedly reaching for Maxieno's outstretched hand. She rose from her seat and waited to see where the man would take her.

Maxieno took a step closer and brought his body closer until their warm breath brushed against each other. His right hand held hers while his left arm encircled her delicate waist, pulling her into his embrace. 

"Close your eyes for a moment," Maxieno gently instructed.

As if under a powerful spell, Suri obeyed obediently, shutting her eyes without a trace of suspicion. Maxieno lifted the girl's body gently until both of her feet were hanging freely above the ground.
