Chapter 84: First Task

"So… does that mean I won't be seeing any more humans from here on out?" Edna asked in a low, dejected voice.

"If you're lucky, Lord Maxieno will take you occasionally out of Birwick Mountain. But in Birwick Mountain, it's only you and I who are humans."

Did that mean she will never find friends? Edna looked down dejectedly. She felt like being tricked by Maxieno. She didn't think it would be like this. She thought her master lived in a castle surrounded by lots of humans and dragons.

Edna believed she also had a chance to meet a man she loved. Then, she would get her master's permission to marry that man. She also didn't mind working after getting married.

However, if it was like this, then Edna would never be able to meet her future husband. And perhaps... she would never be able to find her real family either.
