Arielle raised her hand and showed Maxieno the tattoo circling her wrist. That was proof he gave her to weigh that responsibility.
"Suri also has the same tattoo. She also has the same responsibilities as you. She probably could do it at Birwick."
Arielle touched her temples as dizziness rammed her head.
"Maxieno, it's not that I don't want to help you. I really thank you for telling us and proposing to Suri in a good way, but you know how my husband is."
"Arielle, I don't care about that werewolf."
"Just like I am Suri's mother. Ronan is also her father."
Maxieno saw a number of dots engraved on the smooth surface of the dice. The rich brown color of the wood gave him a sense of calm. It reminded him of the serene forest of Birwick, his birthplace, and a place he longed to return with Suri by his side. He yearned to rewrite all the painful memories into a tapestry of happier moments.
