"What are you talking about?"
Mingshen smirked. "It's cute when you act ignorant~ Do you still have my love letter I so passionately handed to you that day?"
Jia scowled. "I had already thrown it away. It was useless to give it to me."
She ignored him altogether and continued rubbing the back of her knee to alleviate some pain.
"So you have nothing to say about the fact that you practically drowned and you didn't even notice it?"
"I didn't drown."
"That's because I didn't let you," his brow arched. "Otherwise you were all set to greet the sea."
Jia glared at him, irked. "Why do you care about it anyway? I was just walking a little deeper into the sea and I stumbled. It was hard to balance myself with the crutch and all. It's as simple as that."
"Is it now?"
He stared at her, seemingly scrutinizing her answer.
She cleared her throat. "Thank you for saving me, but it was just an unfortunate accident."
