Chapter 313: Fate

"Hey."

"Hey." Alicia smiled as soon as she answered the call while walking her way home. She hadn't said anything yet, but Michael — the person on the other end of the line — already noticed her good mood. 

"You seemed to be in a good mood. Tutoring is okay?"

Alicia pressed her lips and hummed a tune. "Well, I got fired today."

"You got fired?"

"Mhm."

"Then why do you sound so happy?"

"Because I found a better student." Her lips stretched a bit, recalling her short session with Elise. 

Her first meeting with Elise was not even near to how she first met Shanaiah. They mostly talked about their schedule and what subject Elise wanted to focus on. After that, they chatted for a little more to get to know each other. 

"She's a good person, just two years younger than me," Alicia added. "She also said she'll tell some of her friends to join the session so that they could all study together."
