Chapter 23: Hubby Help Me

I couldn't believe it. My card had been declined, and Emily was chuckling like I was some kind of joke. 

"Seems like someone has forgotten they've been disowned and all their assets seized," she said with a smirk.

Aurora's expression turned sweet, but I knew better. "Mind your words, Emily. We should try to help her," she said, trying to sound innocent.

"Pfft, your father would be angry. He said not to even be near her. She is a big bag of shame." Emily scoffed as she dropped her bag in her locker. 

I turned back to look at Aurora who was smiling nicely but her eyes, oh those eyes held that glint. She was enjoying this. 

But the damage was done. Before the news would get announced that I have been disowned from the Stark family, she decided to spread it. Who knows what else she would have said?

 A nearby worker whispered, "Disowned? Wow…she is really having a rough year isn't she?"
