The sun had dipped below the horizon by the time Oriana prepared to leave for the Wildridge Manor. 'I promised I would be back by sunset, but it seems I'm late. Hopefully, he won't mind for keeping him waiting."
Philip was asleep, so Oriana slipped out without disturbing his rest. As she approached the main door, she spotted a carriage awaited her at the entrance, with Rafal and several knights standing by, as was their routine.
Before moving toward the carriage, Oriana instructed to Ana, "Please look after Grandpa. Should anything arise, send word to me at once."
"Rest assured, Your Highness," came the polite response, "Tonight, leave your worries behind. Enjoy yourself, Your Highness."
Oriana could nod at her Lady-in-waiting's subtle hint, and made her way to the carriage. Just as she reached the carriage, an inexplicable sensation made her pause and turn around.
'What is this strange pull?'
