"Were you thinking that woman is going to be my mistress?" Lucian asked.

Erin, confused and shocked, looked at her brothers and then at Arthur. They were the ones who had said all those things that led her to think this way.

The three immediately cleared their throats awkwardly and stepped back.

"Erin, I think you should talk to Lucian and clear up the misunderstanding we all had," Rowan said quickly, hoping to avoid being exposed for their lies that had provoked her.

Rafal chimed in, "We'll leave you two to talk, alright?"

Arthur chuckled nervously. "Seems like we all misunderstood."

Before Erin could say a word, the three had already left the study, as though afraid she might point a sword at them for this.

Erin turned to Aaron, who met her gaze and said, "You both need to sort this out. By now, I'm sure you know what you truly want." He didn't wait for her response and left the study as well.
