300 years before the reign of King Wimbledon II, the world is a troubled place. Petty lords war amongst themselves incessantly, and roving bandits prey on the vulnerable. The precursor to the church, the Hallowed Shrine, has just been established in the Western Plains. With promises of unconditional aid, they have wormed their way into the hearts of the people.
