Chapter 14: REINFORCEMENTS

I was speaking to Shelly when Red came running to see me. He asked me "Aug, are you feeling well now?" I replied - "yes and sorry for the other night I wasn't in my right mind". I asked Red "what's that commotion outside ?" He replied "Reneir has returned with reinforcements from capital alongwith lord Victor and his family. They wish to meet you"

I got outside and saw lord Victor, his wife, Damon and Emilia waiting for me. I was so happy to see her without any wheelchair standing on her own feet.

She was looking so graciously beautiful.

Damon was also looking Happy. That darkness in his eyes was gone, at that moment I felt relieved.

Emilia came running and hugged me when she saw me. She cried on my shoulder and asked me - " why you dummy, why you had to put yourself in danger only to help me? If anything were to happen to you I couldn't forgive myself."

I said , " everything is alright now, so don't you worry "

Damon bowed to me and said as he cried ," thank you, thank you very much for saving my sister's life. I don't know how can I ever repay you. you've lifted a heavy burden from my shoulders "

I hugged him and said " no need to thank me. we are friends aren't we?"

Lord Victor and his wife were also teared up, he said - " thank you young lord for saving my daughter's life, I can't thank you enough."

I said - " you are my father's best friend lord Victor. My father always spoke highly of you ,that how you stood beside him every single time when he needed help.

So please if anyone is worth thanking it's you."

I asked him - " tell me lord Victor do you know Anything about the people who attacked my parents, and where would my parents be now?"

He said - " those were the top 3 mages of "Pearlheart kingdom"

(It was neighbouring kingdom which shared a large portion of boundary with the Empire. There was a long war between these two forces at a time but now they were at good terms with one another after they signed the Peace treaty)

I asked him " but why would kingdom attack us specifically my parents? "

Victor said- " there are things happened in the past your parents never wanted you to know. They moved here far away from any government,any royalty to live a peaceful life along with each other. And after you were born Lord Vellion asked me never to speak of that to you.

And iam sorry young lord ,my hands are tied with that oath to your father. therefore I can't tell you anything of their past but I can tell you where they'll be taking them now"
