Chapter 58: For Dawn

Along one deserted path, there ran a jeep with big wheels and dusty old paint. Abandoned ruins of a former city lined the road where people rarely wandered. But as the jeep continued, this scenery shifted gradually.

The skies were still covered with the seemingly endless darkness that has clung to the heavens ever since the Abyss formed.

But the abandoned buildings were no longer as dreary as before. Specks of lights appeared once in a while, before entering a giant gate and entering a city of neon hues and bright lights.

"Arcadia."

It was the first time, ever since starting the journey, did Azuma felt something move inside him.

He had never seen so many bright and colourful lights. The city inside was a giant amusement park with all sorts of games, and rides, bustling streets, and mesmerising music.
