Well...I said descended, but honestly, it wasn't the real Goddess.
To be exact, it was the Goddess borrowing the vessel inside the statue. After all, no matter how weak they had become, a deity was still a deity. Their raw presence would be too much for us mortals.
Just think of this; even when Natha or I, who were mortals, exerted our mana outside, people weaker than us would get pressured, just like the church members who had to step back when I came closer earlier. Some might even pass out from it.
But, no matter how strong a mortal was, they were still limited by their physical vessel. I would never be able to defeat D'Ara, a demigod, even if I became the strongest druid in the world. Even then, D'Ara would never be able to beat the Demon God on her own, which was why she could only help us by hiding us if anything went wrong.
