Chapter 61: Who'll be the bait?

"When and how?" 

"Brother Ming locked me inside the room so I thought something was up. In the end, I jumped out of the window to follow you, but you were already gone. I followed your traces and saw a man wearing a black cloak. He looked quite suspicious and he was reeking of corpse powder so I sent a rat after him." 

"A rat?" Jie Fu Lian frowned as he repeated. 

Jin Long nodded his head, "Rats are great for eavesdropping on conversations. As long as I have them under my control, I can see what they see and hear what they hear." 

Jie Fu Lian was certainly a bit surprised to hear this. In the three years that he had spent in seclusion, it seemed that Jin Long hadn't been idly practicing and switching between different sword techniques every now and then. He seemed to have learned quite a useful skill that not many people were aware of. 

Jie Fu Lian was a bit proud of the man.
