Chapter 2: Pine Pack
I felt so restrained. I couldn't breathe well neither could I move. It was like I was tied down. I then began to struggle.
"Am I dead?" I asked myself.
I won't be shocked if I am dead because I'm just a child and I took such hit and not to forget, I didn't even have a wolf yet. Be that it may, I shouldn't feel imprisoned. I should feel free like the strots I do hear. I heard the afterlife is about your spirit freed from life's struggles. Or is it that there will first be struggle between life and death before one can finally be free?
I had no answers to my questions because it seems like I'm all alone. I tried to open my eyes again just to confirm where I am exactly but it won't open. Then flashed of war, screams, death start to flow through my head. There was great pain everywhere and I saw my little self amist it with a sword. This was quite scary that my body shook. Then suddenly my eyes opened and I sat up looking around to know where I am. It was then I noticed I'm in my room and I had another terrifying dream like other nights. These dreams hunt me everyday like shadows but they don't weaken me.
I stood up and went into the bathroom to freshen up. Looking at the walk clock, it was past my raining time. I overslept today. If it was a normal day, I would have been up as early as 4 a.m to do my training. I wore my training pants and head out. On getting to the training field, I met my men there. Before it would have been the other way round. Even they themselves were surprised that I didn't get to the field earlier. I could see it on there faces. They all bowed to greet me waiting for me to tell them to rise, which I did immediately because I need to train so as to cover the time I had lost.
Introducing myself, it's none else than me Bounce. The boy who was thrown to the wall. I now have a pack and a large one at that. The largest in the whole of the werewolf pack. I know you are wondering how I did it in such a short time. How I was able to have a pack that is the strongest in the whole of the werewolf world. The truth is that, it's not in anyway a short time. It was a very long and painful time. It took me a hundred and twenty three years of pain and suffering to finally achieve my mother's request.

My head was pounding like it would split into two.
"Mama".
I tried to call but it seems my voice was out. I tried to move my body but the pain was too much that I wouldn't dare do it. I tried to call my mama again but I couldn't. I then decided to open my eyes. Thank God it moved and opened but the brightness couldn't let me open it for long. I shut it immediately I opened it. After some time, I slowly opened my eyes and it adjusted to the light. I then decided to move my body, pain was still there but I needed to know where I am. The pain was much but I managed to sit up.
I then start to remember everything that happened before I blacked out. I remember from the beginning, to my mama's painful face, to my papa's lifeless body on the floor and to when I was shoved to the wall. This memories got me crying. I didn't even mind to check where I was, if it's dangerous or not. What else could be dangerous than witnessing the death of your both parents. All I wanted was just to die like them but I remember what my mama told me about getting revenge. When I remember that I couldn't see my parents anymore, I burst into another round of tears.
"Stop crying like a child" I heard someone say.
" But I am a child" I said back still crying.
But it was so done on me that who was the person who talked just now. I looked around to see if there is anyone beside me since the sound is very close. All I could see is tress it was then I realized I was in the forest. They must have thrown me there when they thought I was dead.
"Who then is talking to me?" I asked myself.
I liked around to check again if the person has already come of of hiding.
"Looking for me?" The voice said again.
I stood up and looked around in a defensive manner.
"Who are you and where are you talking from?" I shouted that my voice echoed through the woods.
"Hey, keep it low except you want to be eaten by wild animals" the voice scolded
" But who are you?" I asked trying to be low.
" Shouldn't you know? Wake up and stop acting like a child" the voice said annoyed.
" Why are you scolding me? Am I not a child?" I snapped in tears.
I don't know who this person is but with that voice I know he is a male and I don't like the tone he is taking with me. I'm an Alpha and no one dears talk to an alpha like that.
I heard the voice sigh. " I'm Derek, your wolf and I'm speaking right inside your head" he replied.
I was surprised at what he said. " I now have a wolf?" I couldn't help but ask.
" You had a wolf since you were born but the time for me to appear is not now" Derek explained.
" Papa said my wolf will be visible when I turn eighteen which is in ten years time. How then are you here?"
I was confused. What I heard was that, it is untill you shift before your wolf would be able to communicate with you and see your wolf. What is so baffling now is that I can't even see the voice that claimed to be my wolf.
"Do you think if I didn't show up prematurely you will be alive?" He asked.
" You saved me?" I asked surprised remembering the hit I took.
"Yes I did".
I pouted. "But I can't see you".
" That's because it is not time for me to appear".
I don't know what to say.
" Listen bounce, I'll just here for a little while. I'll have to leave soonbecause if I'm here it would be dangerous for you. You have to grow up and stop being a child. You know you need to look after yourself. There is a very a very rough and dangerous way ahead of you and if you really want to survive and conquer, you have to grow up and be tough".
" But I don't know what to do" I said with a shaky voice.
I didn't want to cry so that he woukdnt scokd me again.
"Neither do I but I know you will scale through if you want to. Bye Bounce" he said.
There was no need for someone to tell me Derek is gone because I felt this emptiness in me caused by his absence.
I didn't have time to think about Derek's disappearance because I heard a growl. At first I thought it was a wolf but me looking at the direction, I saw that it was a leopard. It was glaring at me.
"Oh God what would I do?" I said to myself.
The leopard rushed at me and I took to my heel. I ran as fast as I could and I discovered that I was very fast but then my lucky charm ended because I got to a cliff. I was so scared because I could see that the leopard had a triumphant look on his face. He stopped and looked at me. Then dashed at me. Me having the will to survive I also ran at him. We struggled for a while. I clawed me but I didn't give up. I make sure I climbed on his back. I've seen my father battle a wild animal in a hunt before and I've seen him climb on the and snapped their neck. I remember this and climbed on the leopard, the took his head in my little hands. He was twisting trying to get me but I used all my strength to hold him. To my surprise, I was able to snap it's neck. I was so joyful. My joy was in two. One I killed the animal that wants me as food. But now he is my food.
I dragged him to the water I saw earlier. I began to think of a way to eat the animal. I was so hungry. I don't even know how long have been out before I finally wake up. It was as if I have a genie who is watching over me. I saw a blunt knife that I can use to cut the animal. I took two stones and make fires with the stick I gathered. That was how I was able to prepare my first meal alone. I looked at where the leopard clawed me but it was gone due to my wolf healing. I laid with the animal skin that was still fresh with blood. At least it will be better than sleeping on the floor. The leaopard served me for days before I ran out of food. That was what made me move away from my destination.
"Alpha you have a visitor" one of my men told me.
I've was lost in my training that morning because of me thinking. I knew it is high time I start my revenge. I knew now is the time I needed to make this hard for those who destroyed my family and made me go through hardship.
I looked at the guy who called me. He didn't move in anyway closer because they know how angry I can get if they interrupt my training.
"Who is that?" I asked taking the towel I was offered by a maid who's been standing beside me since I started training.
"I don't really know alpha. He just requested to see our alpha before he could say anything" he replied.
I then start to walk to my room. Even with me been a brute, I love to appear good.
Later I came out in my long white jacket feeling refreshed. I was so hungry but I wanted to see to see to the one who insisted on seeing me. When I got to the pack house where my seat is located. I didn't see the stranger I ought to see.
"Where is the person?" I asked heading to my seat.
My seat, it consumed a lot of fortune to make that beautiful work of art. It was made with precious stones. I love the light it gives at night. Many of the wild pack that see the way I built my pack house covets it but they have learnt from many experience not to try to take what is mine.
The so vast land that I have now was taken from many packs to build mine. I was a brute but I didn't take anything forcefully. I didn't kill anyone who surrendered to me. All I'll just do it move them to another region entirely because I want to make sure I conquer lot of lands so has to be able to get my revenge done. Those who their leaders refuse to move, I'll claim with power. This is not word for today. I'll def6tell later.
My cupbearer came to me with a fresh juice. That's how I have it ever morning before my breakfast. It was then my visitor walked in. I looked at him well but I didn't know who the person is but I didn't fail to notice he is an alpha blood.
I don't have a beta. Being that I gathered all my warriors from rogues, people that have been abandoned or given up on life. I took them and gathered their lives together. None of them are ranked wolf but I don't mind. I made sure they are almost as strong as an alpha of a normal wolf with trainings. During the cause of the years, I have over six generations who are now warriors. My warriors and their children. I mostly have males in my pack because during my gathering I told the moon goddess that what I needed most are male and she answered my prayers. I do have female warriors but they are not as much as the male. Even giving an estimate of the male and female, I'll say 60/40. This didn't bother me because I mostly send my males out to go find their mates which isn't fruitless. The truth be, I don't have a mate and I don't think I'll have one till I die.
"Alpha" the stranger called.
I looked at him with a straight face. They all know me as a brute and I more than like it. I love it. I've never smiled since the departure of my parents and the destruction of my pack. I know my look was intimidating the beta and that was what I want.
"What's pack's beta are you?"
He looked at me briefly. I don't know if the look was for shock or another thing but to me it's so easy to figure out a beta. They speak power.
"Pine pack alpha" he replied.
I do know the pine pack. Their alpha is a close friend to my papa but I do not like him because he is a weak as my papa who wouldn't want to make troubles with others. I didn't even run to him when things happened because I wanted to be strong not weak like my papa.
"So?" I asked arrogantly.
I know their beta won't be here aside them needing help from me which I don't think I'm ready to do. No one would try to come to my pack without having a very important and sensible thing to say. If not they are joking with their life. I don't like to entangle myself with any pack and they know me for that.
"Alpha we have a problem..."
