Chapter 13: Eliane

I woke up to the sound of hearing a door closing. My eyes were still closed but I could feel someone walk towards me and then hover over me. My body still hurts but I didn't try to move. I wanted to believe that this was a dream. That I was with my mom and dad. That we were playing in the backyard. I dreamed of us all smiling, laughing, running around, and eating.

The sound of a deep voice broke me out of my dream. "I know you're awake little one." I wanted to keep my eyes closed but there was no point in it. So I opened my eyes slowly. There was a bright light shining and it took me a while to open my eyes all the way. After a while, I looked around, and noticed I was in the same bed from before I had got up. No wonder something felt soft under me.
