The sight of my brother and his mate forced me to realize what was happening. Scarlet was bound to Kyleon as she was to her younger sister. Since we were mating, she would have to break that connection to complete the mating process. Judging by the gloom on her face, she came to the same conclusion as I did.

I inhaled a lung full of air for courage. This could be the last time I got to see him for a time. The good thing was he looked well. Deanna had not gotten to him yet. That was a good thing. If they could hold out with this war until I returned, things would be great. Even as I thought the words, I knew it was impossible. I just wished we could get back in time to help. Brianna's face was bright as ever. It was nice to see that face. What I was not expecting was her stomach. Her round belly was a sight to see. I guess the babies decided to no longer hide.
